So you want to be a Pastor...
Do you have what it takes?
It takes more than filling a pulpit every Sunday,
More than writing sermons.
It includes hospitality,
A compassionate heart,
A love for people that no imagination can grasp,
A servant willing and able to do what is expected and beyond.
One who wants God's way above their own.
The sermons can't just be something out of the mind,
But something out of the heart,
Inspired by God.
Applying not only to the people,
But to thine own self.
Confidence that only God can bring,
God's choosing of this particular service.
No one can question God's own authority,
He chooses who He chooses.
God created man and woman equal;
Woman was made out of man's side.
Not from the head,
Not from the heel,
But from the side.
To be by his side as an equal.
Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden
Created that conflict between
Man and woman.
Throughout the ages women have stepped up
To take a place among men.
Not to be ahead of them,
But to be beside them,
As an equal.
