You Know

You know that feeling when you feel that you have no friends;
But you do?
How about that feeling when you feel that you are all alone;
But you aren't?
The feeling that no one love's you?
What about the feeling of there is no God;
But you know there is?
Where do those feelings come from?
The sadness that you have those feelings and you know they are the biggest lies,
And those lies get you into trouble
For some its end is unthinkable.
For others it is the beginning of finding where they belong in the world
"Who Am I?"
"Am I making a difference in someone's life?"
"Does anyone really care or love me?"
These questions haunt and torture us.
Sometimes for our whole lives,
If we let them.
People can drown out these questions;
But only for a time.
Then when your guard is down,
They pop right back in your face.
Staring you down.
What can you do?
Drown it out more with the addictions or distractions?
Sooner or later they don't work anymore.
Maybe ask God for guidance and help?
Who knows…
Sometimes there is no other option because you've exhausted all other options,
But God will never give up on anybody.
God doesn't always answer us in a way that is clear:
No big booming voice,
But perhaps in the small voice of a child,
a parent,
a friend,
or even a complete stranger.
God never promised the road to a better life would be easy,
But He did promise it would be worth it.
What can a single human being do with life's biggest problems?
Nothing.
Sometimes nothing is all we can do.
And that's when we need God's strength to continue the journey.
